Vitor Constancio
Vitor Constancio is president of the school board at the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) and a professor in the master’s degree in banking and financial regulation program at the School of Economics of the University of Navarra, Madrid. Previously, he was vice president of the European Central Bank. Professor Constâncio has served in the Portuguese government as secretary of state for the budget and planning and as finance minister. At the central bank of Portugal, he served as director of the economics department, deputy governor, and governor. Professor Constâncio has served as a member of the European Central Bank Governing Council. In addition, he has served as an assistant professor at ISEG and coordinator professor of the master’s degree in monetary policy program.
