Roger Urwin is global head of investment content at Towers Watson, where he leads the firm’s work on transformational change. Previously, he served as global head of the investment practice at Towers Watson, and he started Watson Wyatt’s investment consulting practice. Mr. Urwin has also headed the Mercer investment practice and led the business development and quantitative investment functions at Gartmore Investment Management. He is involved with the Willis Towers Watson thought leadership group (Thinking Ahead Group) and is cofounder of the Thinking Ahead Institute. Mr. Urwin also serves as advisory director at MSCI and chair of the Advisory Council for the CFA Institute Future of Finance initiative. He is the author of a number of papers on asset allocation policy, manager selection, and governance and sustainability. Mr. Urwin has a degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in applied statistics from Oxford University.
