Claudia Zeisberger
Claudia Zeisberger is a senior affiliate professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at INSEAD and the founder and academic director of the school’s private equity centre (GPEI). She is a founding investor in INSEAD Alum Ventures—INSEAD’s first dedicated seed fund—and she devotes a significant amount of her time mentoring early-stage companies. Professor Zeisberger launched INSEAD’s popular MBA elective Managing Corporate Turnarounds and built an intensive computer-based simulation involving an iconic car brand and its struggle with bankruptcy. She teaches the Private Equity and Venture Capital, Corporate Turnaround, and Risk Management electives and has been awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Excellence in MBA Teaching at INSEAD annually since 2008. Earlier in her career, Professor Zeisberger spent 16 years in global investment banking. She is known for her extensive research on venture capital and private equity in emerging markets. Professor Zeisberger’s book Mastering Private Equity: Transformation via Venture Capital, Minority Investments and Buyouts and the corresponding INSEAD case book Private Equity in Action have become standard textbooks.
