William De Vijlder

William De Vijlder

William De Vijlder is chief investment officer of strategy and partners at BNP Paribas Investment Partners and a member of the firm’s management committee. Previously, he was managing director and global chief investment officer at Fortis Investments before it merged with BNP Paribas in 2010. Dr. De Vijlder also teaches as a senior lecturer in finance and economics at the University of Ghent in Belgium. He is a regular columnist for publications in France and Belgium, and he has appeared on a number of television networks, including CNBC Asia, CNBC Europe, and Thomson Reuters TV in the United Kingdom. Dr. De Vijlder holds a PhD degree in economics from the University of Ghent.
