Stephen G. Cecchetti

Stephen G. Cecchetti  is economic adviser and head of the monetary and economic department at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland. Previously, he taught at the Brandeis International Business School and served as executive vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Dr. Cecchetti has written a textbook and numerous articles focusing on macroeconomics and monetary policy. He is also a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Dr. Cecchetti holds an undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.
